STEPS TOWARD YOUR CHRISTIAN WALK
The main premise around our faith and the Bible is God's love. His love for you is individual as it is for all people. God loved all of us so much He sent His only Son to earth in the flesh. He died on a cross and rose 3 days later so our sins can be forgiven. Because He conquered death you can have eternal life. But this gift of eternal life and forgiveness of sin cannot be yours unless you willingly accept and confess that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.
The following is an example of God's part and your part to have eternal life in Heaven with God.
GOD'S LOVE
John 3:16
" For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
God loved us so much that He sent His one and only son to come down in the flesh so that He could take all the sickness, disease, and forgiveness of sin for us to the cross. This enables us have a life free from all the works of the devil so we could be full and complete as God had intended it and therefore having eternal life with Him after physical death.
WE ARE ALL SINFUL
Romans 3:23
" For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Sin entered when Adam listened to the devil and ate from the tree of good and evil. One must know and confess he/she is a sinner before he/she can be saved.
1 John 1:9;
" If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
SIN HAS A SERIOUS CONSEQUENCE
Romans 6:23
" For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Sin is a mighty weapon of the devil. He knows if we continue in sin that it seperates us from God. For every sin you commit there is a consequence and you must pay the price. If you continue in sin you will pay the price of spiritual death, not only die physically but also spiritually, separated from God and spend eternity in a place called hell.
CHRIST PAID FOR OUR SINS
Romans 5:8
" But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
God knows we are human and are going to sin, we all do. The Bible tells us we are all sinners. But Jesus died and paid the price for our sins. You may think the only way to have eternal life with God is having a sinless life, that it's the only way God will love you, not true. The Bible clearly says Christ loves you so much He died for you even when you were sinning against Him.
SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT FROM GOD
Ephesians 2:8-9
" For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast."
" The word grace means "undeserved love or favor". God is offering to you something you could not possibly provide for yourself, forgiveness of sin and eternal life. This gift from God to you is free. You don't have to work for it. You just have to receive it and believe by faith with all your heart that Jesus died for you and was the Son of God.
JESUS IS KNOCKING AT YOUR HEARTS DOOR
Revelation 3:20
" Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me."
Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with you. He is knocking on your hearts door to give you His free gift of forgiveness, salvation and eternal life with Him. This is a life whole and complete, free from the works of the devil. All you have to do is "open the door" and willingly receive Him into your life. He will enter in and dwell with you each and everyday of your life. You will be saved and spend eternity in heaven far from the devils clutches. If you are sick and tired of letting the world control your path and want God's greatest gift, salvation, please repeat this prayer after me:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask you to come into my life. I come to you a sinner, forgive me of my sins as I forgive those who have sinned against me. I believe you sent your Son Jesus to die on the cross for me and that He rose 3 days later so I can have eternal life with you. Holy Spirit I ask you to fill me, guide and direct me in all thy ways so I may live my life in all God has for me, Amen.
